Yael Koldovsky, 22

Born in Tel Aviv in 2001, Yael Koldovsky began to study piano at the age of 8 with Mrs Tania Kozlov. Alongside her studies with Mrs Kozlov, she is currently studying with Professor Arie Vardi at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University.

Yael is a recipient of AICF Excellence grants since 2014, and grants from the Secrets of Culture (Tzfonot Tarbut) Foundation in 2013 and 2020.

She is a prizewinner at national and international competitions, including the "Piano Forever" competition, the "Pnina Zalzman" competition, the "Voice of Music" young artist competition, and the "Tel-Hai International Piano Master Classes Concerto” competition in Israel, the "Orbetello Piano Competition" in Italy, and the "Merci Maestro" competition in Belgium.

Yael has performed concerti with the Ukraine National Symphony Orchestra, the Alicante University Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israeli Chamber Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Rishon Le-Zion Symphony Orchestra, the Beer-Sheva Israeli Sinfonietta, the Ashdod Symphony Orchestra, and the Haifa Symphony Orchestra. She has worked with conductors such as Yi-An Xu, Yoav Talmi, Mihnea Ignat, Roman Budziak, Vag Papian, and Aviv Ron.

During past years, she has participated in masterclasses with leading musicians from all over the world, including Eliso Virsaladze, Norma Fisher, William Fong, Christoph Eschenbach, Gilbert Kalish, Craig Sheppard, Tatiana Zelikman, Xiaohan Wang, Milana Chernyavska, and Jerome Lowental. Some of the festivals in which Yael has appeared are Music Fest Perugia (Italy), Tel Hai International Piano Masterclasses (Israel), International Festival "Dynasty" (Ukraine), Aviv Kameri musical festival of chamber music (Israel), and Verao Classico music festival (Portugal).

Yael has performed solo recitals in Israel, Kyiv, London, and Prague, and participated in live broadcast concerts on the Israeli National Sounds of Music radio stream. In 2020, she performed a solo recital as part of the Arthur Rubinstein Virtual PianoFest, and in 2021, she served as a Junior Juror at the 16th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition.
