Xuehong Chen

As a student in the Top Talent Training Plan of the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music, Xuehong Chen's teachers have been Professors Xinning Zhang, Danwen Wei, and Professor Piotr Paleczny at Uniwersytet Muzyczny Fryderyka Chopina (UMFC). He is currently studying with Professor Taihang Du in Beijing while pursuing his career as a concert soloist.

Xuehong has performed numerous solo and orchestral concerts in China, in the United States, and in Europe, in prestigious venues such as Montreux­ Vevey, Switzerland, Chopin's residence, Zelazowa Wola, in Poland, Bergen Erdal Church, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, and Musikverein in Vienna.

He has recorded and published three collections of his piano solo compositions. A live recording of his Chopin recital from the Festival de la Haute Clarée has been released by Accentus Music in partnership with the Académie France-Chine.

Xuehong has achieved notable success in various piano competitions. In 2022, he won the Third Prize at the International Rosario Marciano Piano Competition held in Vienna, Austria. The previous year, in 2021, he received the Award for Admittance to the Second Round at the prestigious Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. In 2019, he reached the semifinals of the International Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and secured the Sixth Prize at the Maria Canals International Music Competition in Barcelona, Spain. Xuehong's earliest major triumph came in 2016 when he claimed the First Prize and also received the Prize for Best Mazurka Performance at the Beijing International Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in his hometown of Beijing, China.
