Dmitry Sin, 28

Dmitry Sin

Dmitry Sin is a pianist who "literally lives every note he plays”. He has been praised by critics for his "original and profound interpretations", "rich sound palette”, and "extraordinary musical sensitivity" (RTDF, La Libre, La Provence).

Dmitry Sin was born in Khabarovsk, Russian Far East, and started music lessons at the age of 6. At the age of 14, during his concert tour in Moscow, Dmitry was admitted to the Moscow Gnessin Special School (College) of Music for gifted children and continued his education in the class of Elena Plyashkevich. A crucial moment for his future came during the Kabalevsky Competition in Moscow (2012), where he met his current mentor, Professor Rena Shereshevskaya. Having recognised the great potential of the young pianist, Professor Shereshevskaya invited Dmitry to her class at École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot. After 4 years of studies under a full scholarship, Dmitry obtained a Concert Diploma in 2018.

As a laureate of international festivals and competitions (1st prize at the MozArte Piano Competition 2022 and 6th prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition 2021 as the latest), Dmitry is giving concerts all over the world. He has collaborated with the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre, the Pasdeloup Orchestra, Orchestre de Cannes Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur, Belgian National Orchestra, and the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia under such conductors as Dmitry Orlov, Zaurbek Gugkaev, Igor Levandovsky, Ami Flammer, Pierre Walter, Benjamin Levy, Hugh Wolff, Frank Braley, and Marius Stravinsky.

Dmitry Sin has been invited to prestigious festivals such as La Roque d'Anthéron International Piano Festival, Pianoscope Festival, Ghent Music Festival, Chopin Festival in Nohant, Les Pianos Folies, and Esprit du Piano, to name a few.
