The 2010 Competition

The Scottish International Piano Competition is well established as one of the leading events in the international piano competition calendar. For twelve days in September 2010, the city of Glasgow will play host to some of the world's most gifted young pianists. These aspiring soloists will come from around the world to compete for prizes totalling over £60,000 and the recognition that will set them further along the road to a successful international career.

The City of Glasgow has hosted the prestigious Scottish International Piano Competition since its inception in 1986. This triennial Competition, a major festival of piano performance, continues to grow and the 2010 Competition will include the exciting new development of a Chamber Music component.
